Opn Tuli - KB Metro CEbuSir Gil (10-01) & Sir Celso (18-00) - I will update you regularly on our activities here as it is my task to keep you informed. Our plans could be ambitious but as it is always said, "It is better to have something to look forward than none at all". I am blessed to have members  here in Cebu that are very supportive and open-minded. It is through them that I can easily work with. We just reviewed our roster of members lately and come up with the decision to drop those who are inactive and not beneficial to the group. It is in times of crisis where you can easily spot those that are just drifters and useless. It is also easier in those times to know the true colors of people. I'm thankful to the group's reactions because each one took it positively and are willing to take the challenge. What we have now are the doers and fighters, not just talkers. These are the ones now that can go somewhere and take challenges. By the way, our new repeater's frequencies (duplex) are now now registered with NTC under the name of Kabalikat Civicom Assn., Inc. (940 Chapter). The construction of our new repeater (remote controlled repeater) is still ongoing and it is 30 feet higher compared to the previous repeater, but with higher power output this time.  The doghouse is concreted with a steel plate door. There will be 3 antennas to be installed. 1 for transmit, 2 for receive beamed towards the north and south of Cebu. All antennas are 4J's. This will be tapped also with a commercial power supply. The site is now for inspection by the local electric company for the mounting of a power meter.

We now also have some materials for the back-up repeater which will be installed later at the roofdeck  of xxxx (940-xx) residence. We now have the spare radio, pole, and antenna, and other materials for this back up repeater. If there's complete black-out in Cebu, this back up repeater could be manned easily as it is set-up inside the residence of Xxx. We can still be on air automatically.

Our chapter is now also an official member of the Federation of Visayas Radio Clubs (FVRC) which is under the banner of NTC. This coming Sunday, June 20 is the Induction of new officers in which Kabalikat 940, represented by yours truly, is the PRO. We will support this with full force. Our OIC Regional Director here of NTC  is Engr. Jess Laureno (940-94).

Our 3rd Kabalikat Anniversary will be held on the first Saturday of Sept. That will be Sept. 4. We will prepare for this and will invite you to come over. Will hear from you soon!!! 10-44's and God bless the noble purposes of Kabalikat Civicom!!!

ACCREDITATION OF KB CEBU AS NGO

Hi Sir Gil,

We just have decided recently to go into local accreditation as NGO here in Cebu City. We already have studied the requirements and we believe we can handle it here, but of course, with your permission and help.

Going into this direction is essential for us so we can achieve our goals and mission of the local chapter here. As I've mentioned many times, we will go into a full "Rescue Unit" whose members will become fully-trained and proficient in rescue and disaster handling. As you can see in the attached file, we already have laid our programs for this long before and this is high time for us now to move into this, full gear.

Sir, we need your support and help in this endeavor. This is one way of expressing our desire to strengthen the kabalikat organizaton in the Cebu Region, and hopefully, others will be guided using our model platform. Thank you.
